Shadow Work is Not Just About ‘Bad’ Self-Aspects

Reminder that shadow work is also about light… in that the whole point is to shine the light of consciousness into the shadows. So yes we’re working with darkness too, but not just the one polarity. The shadows contain both what we’d think of as ‘good’ aspects and ‘bad’ aspects.

For example, something like ‘joyful passion’ can be found in the shadows for some individuals (this would be because their specific childhood experiences made ‘joyful passion’ seem wrong in some way… or not compatible with the child’s social group). You can’t really give generalized shadow work advice because everyone’s shadow and survival instincts are so different based on their childhood experiences.

This is why I’m offering personalized shadow work services where people can ask questions, consult the oracle or get energetic support.

Shadow work is about wholeness and its purpose is to uncover love. It reveals where our wires have been messed with - meaning that it allows us to become aware of how something like an intrinsically positive feeling of ‘passionate joy’ will actually feel very negative/threatening to someone who learned that their joy + passion must be banished into the shadows of their being in order for them to survive.
